I’m a wife, mum, and proud nana, with a background as a high school teacher and TAFE lecturer. In 2021, I followed my heart into a new chapter and became a qualified Marriage and Funeral Celebrant.
Why The Marriage Office?
When I first encountered the wedding industry, I found it stunning but also a little overwhelming. While some people thrive in all the glitz and grand planning, others long for something more relaxed and personal.
Along the way, I met couples who were searching for a simple, heartfelt way to say “I do” without the stress or expense of a large wedding. Many were travelling to the city for a registry-style ceremony because there weren’t many local options.
Coming from England where every town has a Registry Office, I was surprised there wasn’t a more accessible alternative closer to home. So I decided to create one.
The Marriage Office Mandurah was born from that idea: a space where couples can enjoy a meaningful, affordable ceremony that’s simple but still full of heart. A place to celebrate love…. legally and locally.
You may know Ali Hill from 91.7 The Wave, her inspiring work as a community MC, or her soulful acoustic performances that have charmed local audiences for years. She’s also a busy wife and mum, bringing warmth, authenticity, and creativity into everything she does, including her role at The Marriage Office Mandurah.
As our Creative Collaborator and Civil Celebrant, Ali brings a beautiful blend of experience, heart, and fresh ideas. Her passion for love, community, and meaningful connection makes her a natural fit for our team.
Whether she’s leading heartfelt ceremonies or working behind the scenes to enhance the experience for couples, Ali plays a key role in helping us create truly unforgettable wedding moments.
So, all you have to do is get ready and turn up with your best friend and say……. ‘I do’.
And one more thing…. We are located in Mandurah; Australia’s number 1 top tourist town, so why not stay a while longer!
